Touch rugby
A fast, non-contact form of rugby focused on movement, passing, positioning and teamwork.
You can play touch as a beginner, use it to develop your rugby skills or choose to play touch permanently.
Join the Geneva Guardians
Never played rugby before? Perfect.
Whether you are completely new to the sport, returning after a break or already an experienced player, you are welcome to discover the Geneva Guardians.
We train touch and contact rugby, so you choose how you want to play. There is no expectation to play contact rugby.
Your first three training sessions are free and without commitment.

Try the club
You do not need to register as a member before trying the club. Come to up to three training sessions for free, meet the team, discover how we train and see whether the Guardians feel right for you.
There is no fitness test and no expectation that you already know the rules.
Our coaches will introduce the game progressively and help you take part at your level.
Come as you are
The Geneva Guardians were created to provide an inclusive rugby environment where people can play, develop and enjoy the sport together.
You do not need:
What matters is being willing to learn, respect your teammates and contribute to a welcoming team environment.
Your first training
A few practical basics are enough for your first evening with the team.
Our regular sessions take place at Venue to be confirmed. Additional training sometimes takes place on Mondays. Check the Training page for the live next-session date, exceptional sessions, venue changes or cancellations before travelling.
Try to arrive around 15 minutes early so we have time to welcome you and introduce you to the coaches.
Questions before you come? info@genevaguardians.ch
If you later decide to try contact rugby, a mouthguard will also be required.
Membership
After your trial sessions, you can decide whether you would like to join the club officially.
A reduced rate is available on request for students, people who are unemployed or experiencing financial difficulty. Payment in instalments can also be arranged where needed.
The current membership season runs until 31 August 2027.
Becoming an active Geneva Guardians member means becoming part of the club beyond individual training sessions.
You do not have to attend every training or activity. Take part at the rhythm that works for you. Club-organised trips and certain internal activities are reserved for active members.
After registration
Once your registration and membership payment have been received, we will complete your onboarding.
You will receive access to the relevant members’ WhatsApp groups and SportEasy, where we coordinate training, events and club activities.
Then the rest is simple: come train, get involved as much as you want and find your place in the team.
Still unsure?
You do not need to decide whether rugby is for you before walking onto the pitch. Come try it, meet the team and take it from there.
