Our network

From the pitch to an international community.

The Geneva Guardians are connected to Geneva and Swiss rugby bodies, as well as international LGBTQIA+ sports networks.

Our rugby programme

Learn the game. Build confidence. Progress together.

Our programme combines accessible touch rugby with the skills of rugby union. Every session is designed so complete beginners and experienced players can train together, improve and enjoy plenty of time with the ball.

01 · Mixed formats

Touch and contact rugby

We practise touch rugby and rugby union skills. Beginners start without contact, then learn controlled contact progressively when they are ready.

02 · Your first session

Active from the start

Expect a warm-up, passing and movement exercises, short explanations and small-sided games. No rules knowledge is expected, and there is very little standing around.

03 · Safe progression

Technique before intensity

Contact is introduced step by step, with clear instruction and respect for each player's level. Safety, suitable equipment and looking after teammates always come first.

04 · Matches and events

A pathway into competition

We are developing friendly fixtures and participation in inclusive rugby events in Switzerland and abroad, with the Union Cup and EuroGames 2027 among our future objectives.

Our ambition

Competitive, inclusive and built to last.

Our priority is to develop players and build a sustainable squad capable of competing in inclusive tournaments. Official Swiss league competition is not an immediate priority, but players who want to progress further will be supported.
